    Roster Details

    General Roster Info
A minimum of 8 participants are required in order to race. A maximum of 10 participants will be allowed to race in any one heat. Teams are encouraged, however, to register 12 members (10 racers and 2 alternates) in the event that a registered racer is unable to compete.

    Roster Add/Drops
Teams may add additional members (up to a maximum of 12) up until 5:00pm Friday, September 28, 2012. After this deadline, teams wishing to add individuals to their rosters will not be eligible to advance to Semi-Final or Final races.

    Substitution Rules
Heats: If a team has less than 8 members for a scheduled heat, that team may fill the additional spaces with racers from another team, provided they have completed a waiver. Teams requiring this type of substitution, however, will be unable to advance.
Semi-Finals, Finals: If a team has less than 8 members for a semi-final or final, the team may fill the additional spaces with racers of the same Unit that have participated in the Heats, but are not advancing to the Semi's or Finals. This person cannot be a designated import. All other substitutions will not be allowed to race.

    CoRec Team Ratios
Teams of ten must have 5 women and 5 men. Teams of eight and nine must have a minimum of 4 women and 4 men (the ninth team member can be of either gender). All other combinations will be allowed to participate but will not be allowed to advance.

    Divisional Structure
All UBC REC programs feature Divisional or Campus Wide categories. Divisional teams consist of members from one unit (faculty, residence, or Greek society) and are rewarded with points, while Campus Wide teams consist of members from various units. In some programs, Divisional teams are permitted a number of designated imports, which are members from outside of the unit. Divisional teams competing in Day of the Longboat are taking the first step towards the coveted Triple Crown victory. The maximum number of designated imports for Day of the Longboat is 2 UNLESS YOU ARE A COREC HINDMARCH TEAM. CoRec Hindmarch teams are allowed NIL imports
